Dormitories

At SUTIC, we offer affordable off-campus housing. The off-campus residential buildings for male and female students are located 2 kilometers from the campus in one of the most convenient residential spot on the island. The dormitories have easy access to public transport and are also close to the City Park, cinemas, popular lively restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping centers all with a safe environment for night-time activities. The furnished apartments located in these buildings vary in size and can accommodate 2 to 6 male students and 2 or 3 female students depending on the number and size of the rooms.



All our dormitory units are furnished and have the following amenities and services:


1.      Bedroom furniture and essentials (beds, mattresses, bedsheets, pillows, wardrobes, dressing table, etc.)
2.      Living room and dining furniture
3.      Kitchen and cooking essentials
4.      Household appliances (washing machine, refrigerator, etc.)
5.      Television set
6.      Air conditioners
7.      Unlimited 24/7 internet access
8.      Room cleaning service 2 days a week.

 

Dormitory affairs and students’ accommodation conditions

The student and cultural management section of the dormitory affairs unit has responsibilities for handing over and supervising the dormitory affairs. Students who live in student dorms must follow the norms, regulations, and legislation established by the Ministry of Science. Dormitory allocation is based on the priority of the visit due to the restricted capacity of dormitories. According to the tables on the site, requests for usage of the dormitories can be submitted for one semester or two consecutive terms.
In the event of a cancellation, the amount of the dormitory rent payment will be determined according to the cancellation laws. The calculation method is detailed in the dormitory regulations file.

How to allocate accommodation: a step-by-step guide

1. Complete and submit the application form and disciplinary regulations of the dormitory to student affairs

2. Steps to pay the dormitory fees and issue a referral letter

A: Calculate the amount of accommodation fees using the table of fees.
          B: Pay the first month’s payment to the accounting office upon your arrival
          C: Obtaining a permit to stay in a dormitory.

C: Presenting a receipt to student affairs that has been approved by student accounting.
D: Obtaining an introduction letter, delivering the dormitories, and presenting the property trustee
E: Inspecting and signing the property delivery form to ensure that the property provided to the student is in good condition.

A: Obtaining the property's health certificate from the trustee and returning the key.

Males’ Dormitory

The males' dormitory is 2 kilometers from the university and consists of three two-story apartment structures. It takes roughly 20 minutes to walk from the guys' dormitory
to the campus and 5 minutes to drive. According to the unit capacity, this dormitory contains one-bedroom (60 and 80 meters) and two-bedroom (100 and 110 meters) apartment units that can accommodate 2, 3, 4, or 6 students. Each unit has a TV, refrigerator, sofa, dining table, tea maker, gas, iron, study table and chair, bed, and wall cabinet, among other things.
Residents of the dormitory can also take advantage of free internet access and weekly unit cleaning.

Females’ Dormitory
The females' dorm is around a kilometer from the campus. The dormitory is 10 minutes away by foot and 3 minutes away by automobile from the campus. One-bedroom apartments (43 meters) and one-bedroom apartments (48 meters) are available at this dormitory. Gas, study table and chairs, bed and wardrobe, and other items are available.
Residents of the dormitory can also take advantage of free internet access and weekly unit cleaning.
