Professor Peter Agre, Nobel Laureate, was awarded as the Honorary Member of Sharif University
On June 10, 2012 Sharif University of Technology Chancellor, Reza Roosta Azad, assigned Professor Peter Agre, 2003 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, with the Honorary Membership of Sharif University of Technology.
An office space at the university was dedicated to the Nobel Laureate as well. After the ceremony, the office was inaugurated officially by Professor Agre and he promised to be the guest of honor for Sharif University for a 10 day period annually.
